Geocent is currently looking for an experienced Microsoft SharePoint consultants to work in southeast Louisiana. The candidate will need to have the ability to design, document and develop Microsoft SharePoint applications and administer SharePoint environments.
Candidates should have the following skills:
- Ability to interact positively with customers, understand business problems and develop solutions which meet their needs
- Experience with scope and requirements definition
- 3+ years of application development experience using Microsoft .NET (C# preferred)
- Experience in enterprise implementations or modifications of SharePoint 2007
- Experience in SharePoint /.NET application development, which includes use of the SharePoint API, SharePoint web services, and creation of web parts.
- Proven ability to write SQL queries, stored procedures and views
- Experience with other Microsoft Server platforms
- Solid background in object-oriented techniques and technologies
- Strong problem solving skills
- Willingness to perform regional travel (New Orleans, North Shore, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, etc.)
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - Application Development certification is preferred
- Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - Configuration certification is preferred
